Frequently Asked Questions
Product Basics
What is Level One pet odor remover?
Level One is a professional-grade odor eliminator that completely removes pet urine and odors at the molecular level. Unlike products that just mask smells with fragrances, Level One actually breaks down the organic compounds causing the odor. We ship concentrated packets that you mix with water in any 32 oz spray bottle – saving you money on shipping and reducing environmental waste.
Why packets instead of ready-to-use bottles?
Two reasons: it saves you money, and it’s better for the environment. Shipping liquid is expensive and wasteful – you’d be paying to ship water across the country. Our concentrated packets dramatically reduce shipping costs, which we pass on to you. You provide any 32 oz spray bottle, add water, drop in our packet, and you’re ready to go. Professional-grade results without the waste or high cost.
How is this different from other pet odor products I’ve tried?
Most products on the market are masking agents – they cover up odors with fragrances or enzymes that only work on fresh accidents. Level One eliminates odors completely by breaking down organic compounds at the source. This is the same professional-grade approach used in odor removal services when homeowners and landlords need serious odor problems solved. We’re bringing that professional solution directly to pet owners.
Do I need anything else besides the packet?
Yes, you’ll need a clean, empty 32 oz spray bottle with a standard trigger sprayer. You can pick one up at any store for $3-5, or reuse one you already have. Important: don’t reuse bottles from other cleaning products – use a clean bottle. Each order includes a waterproof label that stays on your bottle permanently, so you can refill it with future packets.
How long does one packet last?
Each packet makes one full 32 oz bottle of solution. How long it lasts depends on the severity and size of your odor issues. For spot treating accidents, one bottle can last weeks or even months. For larger areas or multiple problem spots, you may use it more quickly. That’s why we offer 2-pack and 4-pack refill options so you can stock up and save money.
Is Level One safe around pets and children?
Yes, Level One is safe when used as directed. The solution works by oxidation to break down organic compounds, and once it dries, it’s completely safe for pets and children to be around the treated area. As with any cleaning product, keep the spray bottle out of reach of children and pets, and avoid direct contact with eyes. We can provide safety data sheets upon request.
How to Use
How do I prepare the solution?
It’s simple. Take your clean, empty 32 oz spray bottle and fill it with tap water. Drop in one Level One packet. Attach your spray nozzle and shake the bottle for 30 seconds until the packet contents are fully dissolved. Apply your waterproof label to the bottle. That’s it – you’re ready to eliminate odors.
How do I treat pet urine odors?
First, if the accident is fresh, blot up as much urine as possible with paper towels. Spray the affected area thoroughly with Level One solution – don’t be shy, you want to saturate the area where the urine soaked in. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to break down the organic compounds. For carpets, blot with a clean towel. For hard surfaces, wipe clean. For old or set-in odors, you may need a second application.
Can I use this on all surfaces?
Level One works on virtually all surfaces including carpets, upholstery, hardwood floors, tile, concrete, pet beds, and more. It’s safe for most fabrics and materials. As with any product, we recommend testing on an inconspicuous area first if you’re concerned about a delicate surface. It’s particularly effective on porous surfaces like carpet and concrete where odors can soak deep.
Do I need to rinse after applying?
For most applications, no rinsing is necessary. Simply spray the area, let it work for 10-15 minutes, and blot or wipe. The solution breaks down the odor-causing compounds and then evaporates. For food-contact surfaces or areas where pets drink water, you can rinse with clean water after the solution has worked, but it’s generally not required.
How long until the smell is gone?
Most odors are eliminated within 10-15 minutes of application. You may notice the smell getting worse briefly – that’s normal as the solution breaks down the organic compounds. Once it dries completely (usually within an hour depending on ventilation and humidity), the odor should be completely gone. For severe or deeply set odors, a second application may be needed.
Ordering & Shipping
What are my pet odor remover ordering options?
We offer three configurations to fit your needs. The 1-Pack ($19.99 plus $2.99 shipping) includes one packet plus one waterproof label – perfect for trying Level One for the first time. The 2-Pack ($26.99, free shipping) includes two packets plus one label – our most popular option that gives you backup packets while saving you money. The 4-Pack ($36.99, free shipping) includes four packets plus one label – ideal for multi-pet households or ongoing odor issues, and offers the best per-packet value.
Why does each order only include one label?
You only need one label because you’ll reuse the same spray bottle for all your refills. After using your first packet, simply rinse your bottle, add water, drop in the next packet, and you’re ready to go. The waterproof label stays on your bottle permanently. If your label gets damaged or you want to set up multiple bottles around your home, you can add extra labels to your order when you purchase the product, or purchase a replacement label separately. If you add an extra label to your order, and the order total is over $25, then you will get free shipping, whereas a one-off label order will incur a $2.99 shipping charge.
How long does shipping take?
We ship all orders within 1-2 business days via USPS First Class Mail. Delivery typically takes 2-5 business days depending on your location. You’ll receive tracking information via email as soon as your order ships. All orders over $25 ship free.
Can I add extra labels to my order?
Yes! When ordering the 2-Pack or 4-Pack, you can add extra labels at checkout if you’d like to set up multiple bottles (one for upstairs, one for downstairs, etc.). Extra labels added to your existing order ship together in the same envelope. If you need a replacement label shipped separately after your order, those are available as a standalone product for $2.99 shipping.

Safety & Ingredients
What’s actually in Level One?
Level One is a professional-grade odor elimination formula that breaks down organic compounds at the molecular level. It’s not a masking agent or fragrance – it chemically neutralizes the source of odors. We’re happy to provide safety data sheets upon request. The formula is the same professional approach used in remediation services, now available for home use.
Is it safe if my pet licks a treated area?
Once the treated area is completely dry, it’s safe for pets. The solution works through oxidation to break down organic compounds, and once dry, there’s no residue that would harm pets. As a precaution, keep pets away from freshly sprayed areas until they’re fully dry (One hour or more, depending upon the size and depth of the area treated). If you’re concerned, you can rinse the area with water after the solution has worked.
Can I use this if I have asthma or chemical sensitivities?
Level One has no added fragrances or harsh chemical smells that trigger sensitivities. The solution itself is essentially odorless, or you might detect a mild swimming pool scent, which dissipates as it dries. As Level One destroys the urine acid and other chemicals in urine, those compounds break down and release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the air – you may smell this during the treatment process. This is completely normal and shows the product is working. Once the treatment is complete and the area dries, there will be no smell. Most people with sensitivities tolerate it well, but as with any product, use in a well-ventilated area and discontinue use if you experience any irritation.
How should I store unused solution?
Store your prepared Level One solution in the original spray bottle with the nozzle secured, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep out of reach of children and pets. The solution remains effective for several months when stored properly. For longest shelf life, up to two years, store in a cool, dark place like under a sink or in a utility closet.
What’s your return policy?
We stand behind Level One completely. If you’re not satisfied with the product for any reason, contact us at contact@leveloneservicebrands.com within 30 days of purchase. We’ll make it right – whether that’s a refund, replacement, or troubleshooting help to ensure you get the results you need. Your satisfaction is our priority.
Results & Troubleshooting
What’s actually in Level One?
If odor remains after the first application, it usually means the urine soaked deeper than the solution reached, or the area is larger than you initially treated. Try a second application, using more solution and treating a wider area – pet urine can spread 2-4 times wider than the visible stain, especially in carpet padding. For detailed guidance on proper application techniques and common mistakes, see our Complete Pet Urine & Odor Removal Guide.
The smell got worse right after I sprayed – is that normal?
Yes, this is completely normal and actually a good sign that Level One is working. As the solution breaks down the uric acid and other chemicals in urine, those compounds release volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the air – you’ll smell this during the treatment process. This usually only lasts a few minutes before the odor starts to dissipate. Once the treated area is fully dry, there will be no smell.
Can Level One remove old, set-in urine odors?
Level One works excellently on fresh and recent pet accidents (days to weeks old). For older or chronic contamination where pets have repeatedly used the same area for months or years, the situation becomes more complex. The urine may have penetrated deeply into padding, subflooring, or structural materials. Our Pet Odor Guide explains how to assess your specific situation and when professional treatment may be necessary for severe cases.
Will this work on hardwood floors or concrete?
Store your prepared Level One solution in the original spray bottle with the nozzle secured, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep out of reach of children and pets. The solution remains effective for several months when stored properly. For longest shelf life, up to two years, store in a cool, dark place like under a sink or in a utility closet.
I have multiple pets with ongoing accidents – how much will I need?
Level One works by reaching the source of the odor, so it’s most effective on porous surfaces where the product can penetrate deeply. It works best on carpets and upholstery – soft, highly porous materials that allow the solution to reach deep into fibers and padding where urine accumulates.
Hardwood floors present challenges. While wood is porous, sealed or varnished floors may prevent the product from reaching the urine that’s soaked into the wood. For old stains on hardwood, crystallized urine deposits may have penetrated too deeply for any topical product to reach – these situations often require sanding or board replacement. Concrete is also porous, but old stains on concrete can be particularly challenging as urine penetrates very deeply into the material.
